FAQs

You’ve got questions? I’ve got answers. Here’s a roundup of queries that I often field when I’m not scratching or sniffing:

Are you a boy or a girl? Seriously? Did my broad barrel chest and hunky piercing eyes not give me away as the eight pound alpha male that I am? Harumph. Need more proof? Here’s a picture of my man parts.

How old are you? Are we taking dog years or people years? I’m three years old according to humans, but I think I’m something like 21 when it comes to dog years. Which reminds me I should really start checking out the club scene. Oh and my birthday is September 27th in case you ever want to send unlimited treats for life my way.

Where do you live? I live in Richmond, Virginia and I even have my own room. Okay so technically it’s a closet but it’s still a nook to call my own. That’s not to say I don’t sleep with the rents every night (my little crate-in-a-closet is just for when they go out for a bit).

Do you have a girlfriend? I have many attractive lady friends (across the globe I might add, you girls know who you are) but I’m always open to making new pals (wink, wink). The truth is that I’m a rolling stone who just can’t be tied down at this point in my life.

What kind of food do you eat? I have to hand it to my parents, they treat me right. I’ve enjoyed Natural Balance Ultra Premium kibble from the day I was born, and my ma and pop even whipped up a swanky little food and water station for me to saddle up to.

How do you stay so slim? Do you diet? Nope but I get a lot of exercise and enjoy three mile walks with my mom around 5 times a week. I also believe in splurging a little on vacation. Here are a few indulgences that I enjoyed on a road trip with my family to Savannah.

How did you get into blogging? It all started when my parents let me guest blog on their site a few times (check me out here and here). I got a taste of it and just couldn’t say no to the opportunity to share my life with the world, especially since I have it so good.

Besides general dog behavior (and blogging of course) are there any hobbies that interest you? I fancy myself a fine artist. Check out this painting I did with my own two paws. I also like helping my parents out with DIY projects, especially this one and this one.

Do the other dogs in your neighborhood know you’re famous? I try not to brag but I’m kind of a big deal. I don’t know if the other dogs around town have seen every newspaper or magazine with my mug in it, but I’m sure a few of them have noticed me on the cover of The Nest magazine that came out this spring. And I bet they were howling with jealousy when they spotted me on HGTV.

Aren’t you also a model? Well, I dabble. Here I am rocking a tee from my parents’ shop. Want to know my motivation for those shots? Let’s just say I was humming “I’m too sexy for this dog tee”…

Haven’t I seen you on holiday cards too? Guilty as charged. As my parents’ muse I’ve been on the last two Christmas cards (which you can check out here).

What’s one of your favorite places to hang out? I love the great outdoors and enjoy bug/squirrel hunting expeditions quite regularly. When I’m not in my big fenced in backyard I love hanging out on the front porch with my parents (they even custom made a little pooch lounge for me).

You’re such a jet setter. How do you travel so easily? Yes I am quite an on-the-go pooch. I’ve been on many a cross country road trip and even flew to Alaska for my mom & dad’s honeymoon. Here’s a little write-up all about how I travel so comfortably. And here’s a little video of one of my recent 40 hour road trips.

What are your favorite toys? Toys are for babies, I prefer the term companions. I have a charming little bear named Elsa (who I painstakingly unstuffed for days) along with a tasty little rope bone (I love the understated nautical appeal) and a slew of other buddies to toss around.

What camera do you use? I shoot all of my photos with a Canon PowerShot SD1100-IS Digital Elph. It’s a small 8 megapixel camera that has great little features like a macro setting, an image stabilizer, and a manual setting (which all come in handy when you don’t even have opposable thumbs).

Where did that rug/pillow/ottoman that you’re reclining on come from? Here’s a handy little room by room source list that my parents whipped up to answer that very question. Gotta love when your parents do your homework for you.
