It’s A Love Bite

Sometimes I just can’t help myself. I get so excited and happy that I just have to nibble something. Just a little. You know, in celebration of a fabulous existence. In fact I have a new motto: it’s a great day to nibble the daybed.

  1. Adorable!! We have a chihuahua too Tieka is about 5 pounds and about a month until her 7th birthday, they’re so fun and spastic! I hear ya on the thinking they can chase squirrels or other outside creatures, our Tieka has also tried to catch Deer. Never to old to nibble on stuff also! :)

  2. He looks like such a pup in that shot.

  3. My Sheltie does the same thing! Only, it’s usually me that he nibbles. He’ll nibble on the arm of my robe when we get in bed at night, then a pillowcase. I’ll ask him if he’s going to nibble my arm off eventually, and he wags his tail and nibbles more. During the day, it’s my shirt, sweater or pants. It’s so cute!

  4. Burger, I think “it’s a great day to nibble the daybed” could be like the new version of “home sweet home” or “I has a hotdog.” You better pawtent (patent) it now!

    • Very true. Off to look into that…

  5. I read recently that dogs chew on things (like shoes) because they contain our scents, and they pick up the scent through their mouth even better than through their nose. It’s comforting to them. Destructive, but comforting. This is also the reason they often don’t like new toys – they don’t smell like us. Which makes me think that all new toys should go in the dirty laundry basket for a week or so.

  6. Happy belated birthday, Burger!

    • Thanks Kellie!

  7. My 55lbs lab does that when he gets really rowdy. He will jump on the bed and bite the down comforter. Its funny but I hope he never puts a hole in it
