Light My Fire

- Date: back in the cold winter months
- Location: the den
- I’m feeling: warmer every second
There’s just nothing like warming your tush by the fire on a chilly winter day. Sometimes I even raise my chin and lower my ears as if to say “oh yeah, that’s the stuff- right there.” You should try it sometime. It’s nice and toasty.

You’re one happy pooch in this pic, Burger! The look on your face is just like what my Seamus does when he’s getting a good butt scratch – and he hops from one back foot to the other in his “happy butt dance”. Oh, the simple joys of doghood!
Oh, Burger, you are such a handsome fella. I may be feline and British, but if my humans would permit it, I would fly across the world and spend six months in quarantine just to see you *dreamy sigh* Woe is me.

Burger, you are so darned cute! The look on your face and the way you have your head tilted up makes me want to plant a kiss right on the end of that darling little nose of yours! If you ever want to take a vacation to CA lemme know! We have plenty of room for you (and the rest of the family!)
Hi Burger, I love your fireplace photo. Now that the winter has passed and summer is here, I have a question for you. Do your parents use any specific type of prevention/treatment for fleas?
I am a adorable 2 year old American Pit Bull Terrier named Sparky, and my parents adopted me from the shelter 4 months ago! They really want to prevent any flea troubles (I’ve already started scratching a little..oh no), however they would prefer to use something that’s not too harsh.
Any advice you have would be greatly appreciated. I hope you enjoy the new bounty of summer grass that is fresh for eating as much as I do. Thank you!
Nope, my parents went chemical free a few years ago and thanks to my short fur I’m just fine (no where for ticks or fleas to hide, so they must not like me). Mom and dad have heard that natural things like lavender essential oils repel pests so maybe that’s something your parents can look into for you? Perhaps they can just google around for natural flea and tick prevention. Good luck!

I have to say, I don’t always leave comments here but every time I check in it just puts a smile on my face. He’s so darn cute and your commentary is so witty! :)
Ohhhh, Burgs… You could be my brother from another mother. I’m a fancy rat terrier from Cincinnati, and my mom says I act like you and resemble you. I don’t see it though…. I’m white with big black spots. My mama is crazy.
I like to be warm and toasty. Even in hot and humid June, I still sneak under the electric blanket in Mama & Papa’s bed. It makes my ears go back too. Mmmmmmmmmm…..
Goodbye, friend!
Burger, you look like you are pulling a ‘Hugh Hefner’ in that picture…’come here my lovelies and lie next to me and the fire, I will keep you so warm’. Are there any ‘Pups Next Door’????
I know that face….that’s the “please rub my belly because no one ever gives me love, or cookies; you should give me cookies AND belly rubs” face.

Hamburger, it seems like it’s been so long since I’ve seen your sweet face. I have a hugh love of all Chihuahuas. I need to post a pic of my two boys Ren and Tex. I bet you guys would love playing with one another.
