Where My Dogs At?
Apparently some are verrrry far away from home. Let’s save these pooches and get them back on US soil! Ashley gave me the heads up about this initiative and I had to roll up my sleeves (figuratively speaking, you know I refuse to wear clothes) and get involved.

Here’s the link with lots of cute dog pictures and all the facts you need to be a bone-a-fide hero around Hamburger’s House.

So whaddya say? Is it a good day to make a difference or what? My paws are crossed that they reach their goal and get those pups back here to some loving and happy homes!

Just contributed! It was super easy and those pups are absolutely darling. Thanks for passing along the info.
I like this story. I asked my mom to post a link on our blog too. I’m a rescue dog myself, so I know what a difference having good people around can make!
I was really touched when I read through this! There isn’t a lot of information however on who these people are… besides troops in afghanistan and the person who is doing the fundraising is the *sister?* of one of the soldiers. I plan on forwarding this to friends and family I just really want to make sure it’s going to the cause they say it will. I feel bad for doubting but if I donate I want to be certain!
Hey Liz,
I actually got a letter from a reader alerting me of this cause, so although I don’t know them personally it seems as though other Hamburger’s House readers (well at least one) can vouch for them. Hope it helps!
Burger,
I posted this to my Facebook and I’m going to post it on my blog tomorrow. Thanks for letting us know about these pups! You’re a humanitarian!!

I actually just read this story in my local news and thought I should come over here to share! I’m glad you are already promoting the cause!
Here’s more information and more adorable pictures and video: http://www.yorkdispatch.com/local/ci_14518964.

Wow! That’s really a touching situation. I certainly hope they raise the money needed to get those dogs home. I can imagine it’s such a comfort to have a loving pup on base and that the bond they form is pretty strong. What a great story and rescue effort. Thanks for sharing.
