Hey Shelley,

Yup, that's what my mom rants about when she charges me and tries to get the acorn out of my grip. Fat chance mom! Luckily I only manage to extract a few morsels from the inside of one every few weeks or so- and I haven't had so much as had an upset tummy thus far (although maybe if I did I'd be more apt to avoid them instead of enjoying them).

xo,

Murphy and Lucy, our pups, love acorns too. However, they are toxic to dogs, so we try to keep them from chewing on them and eating them! I did a quick google about it and found this story, Dog Channel but if you search you'll find many. Sorry Burger!!

My dog Jake loves acorns too. He'll pick one up on the beginning of a walk and keep it in his cheek until we get home. Then he'll eat it on the living room rug (sort of yucky, but sort of cute too).

Bugs win because they're more fun to catch, but acorns are a close second.

Burger, where do acorns rate on the deliciousness/fun scale - above or below bugs?

I don't like to eat acorns (you dogs do not have very discriminating taste) but I sure love to roll on them. It is like a mini-massage to my back.

Glad to see you back Burger. I was beginning to think you were at the beach for Spring Break!

Ryleigh is also a big lover of acorns! She likes to carry them in and hide them all over the house. I of course don't realize until I find it "squirreled" away somewhere....like the sofa or under a pillow!
