Treats: Are Those For Me?

What’s wrong with this picture?
Why are all of those yummy-delicious-oh-my-goodness-I-must-have-one-now treats in that container and not in my belly? Maybe I’ll get one once I finish being a good boy and telling you about this dog treat isolation chamber that you can win from Whitewash Sundries (the generously treated me with one- but it’s holding my goodies hostage!).
Just like the stuff my parents are giving away on their blog from Whitewash Sundries, this hand-etched stuff on glass is pretty cool (except for the fact that all my treats are highly visible so they taunt me as I stare at them longingly). Anyway, for this dog-themed giveaway, they put the first initial and silhouette of the dog you intend to tease with this look-but-don’t-touch canister. Cool right? And yes, also a bit cruel. Just be sure to remove a tasty morsel or two and give it to your four-legged friend on the regular.

I love giving my fur child free range chicken strips, he’s in love with them!! He sits each and every time and takes it and runs off like a little ninja!
“GIMME GIMME” My dog LOVES ice cubes. We’ve had her for 7 months and we haven’t had to buy treats yet (we got real treats as puppy gifts). She hasn’t learned many tricks yet, so we usually give them to her for staying and sitting. :)
GIMME, GIMME :) My Hayden’s favorite treat are frosty paws! She loves them but only gets them on very special occasions :).

Our pug only eats treats that are “meaty”. No milkbones for this pup! He turns up his nose at anything that doesn’t have the good stuff. Its embarrassing when we take him places and people are trying to be nice!

My favorite treats include hot chocolate, brownies, and salt water taffy. YUMMY!
GIMME GIMME! My little maltipoo loves string cheese. If he hears us open the drawer in the fridge and hears the plastic wrapper…he comes running! We make him sit and hi-five to get a bite. :)
GIMME GIMME. I give me dog bits of a hotdog as treats. She’s just 3 months old but has learned sit, shake, lie down, roll over, circle, fetch, bed, and crate. Hotdogs are a great motivator!

My long haired chihuahua, Roxy loves the peanut butter treats I bake for her. Peanut butter, whole wheat flour, a bit of milk and a dash of baking powder. You can roll it out and use cookie cutters to make fun shapes. They would look great in this glass canister!
Gimme Gimme! Bailey loves some baa-baa all natural lamb lungs. A little disturbing, but she’ll do anything for them!

My brother’s mini Schnauzers love dingos, and my parents’ dog loves rawhide strips. Who knows what my future dog — adopted from a shelter — will like best!

Our dogs favortie treat is without a doubt the treats he gets when he goes to his great grand nanny!! She has a small little puppy (like 6lbs) and our dog is a manly 70lb Airdale Terrier. Nanny cooks chicken for the little one so when our dog (who doesn’t get table food) goes for a visit…he is in heaven!!
Gimme! Gimme! Our fuzzy dog thinks sitting under the kids’ chairs at the table is a treat. He’s better than the vacuum.
“GIMME GIMME” – I love those chocolate covered cookies. Well I’m sure they’re not chocolate since my parents would never give me that, but they sure do look like it.

My little fluff ball loves Pupperoni treats and will sit and immediately try to shake as soon as she sees me reach for the bag. We are in the process of learning to put the treat on her nose, but that is a tough one for her.
“GIMME GIMME” My favorite treats are anything with peanut butter and chocolate. My pup dances (jumps up on his hind legs and spins in a circle) for treats. No chocolate for him though.

My all time favourite treat are dried pigs ears …my mum and dad give them to me to distract me from chewing the furniture mainly the sisal rug and the cane chair.. oh and the doormat , sometimes the cushions if I happen to knock them onto the floor . Sometimes I find the time to chew a shoe too but furniture is my specialty. Anyway Mum took me to the vet and he says pigs ears are too fatty (is he saying I’m fat!) so now my treats are “greenies” little vegetable based green toothbrushes (boring)…I eat them to please my mum and dad ( mum says they cost a fortune) but give me a pigs ear anyday . xxx Astro
Gimmie! Gimmie! I love beer… but I’m not supposed to have that. So my parents give me other stuff…I like pretty much anything, but peanut butter homemade doggie treats are my favorite.

My favorite treat is “Purina Friskies Indoor”… my cat just loves them! Unfortunately I haven’t been successful in teaching her any tricks to earn them LOL

My dog loves to eat and loves anything new. She even got excited the first time she got a green bean! But her favorite are those springy rawhide treats. In addition to getting a treat for tricks, we play hide-and-seek with her treats.

Our Winjammin’ crew of 8 consists of 6 Cardigans and 2 Pembrokes. Being proper Corgis, food is their first, last, and main love. They love everything from small training bites, which they like to throw across the living room and pounce on, to steak and chicken fajita strips, which they love to catch in mid-air, while in the show ring. Ice cubes are a favorite summer treat and dad’s lunchtime peanut butter cookies are always worth stealing!!!
Gimme Gimme! My schnauzer loves McDonald’s fries and unless sad puppy eyes are a trick he doesn’t really have any but he does behave very well.
Gimme Gimme! Casey loves the blueberry and apple crunchy treats by natural choice. we use them to train her to sit, lay, stay, bow, and play dead dog. she also LOVES ice cubes and comes running every time we get ice out of the freezer!
Gimme Gimme! My furbabies love any kind of treats, but they especially love it when I give them ice cubes which they have fun batting around the kitchen. I figure it gives them a toy for a little while and it really doesn’t do any harm, just a little water on the floor! They earn them when they find/kill bugs in our house, yuck! Or when they’re just being cute. :)

My dog is Autumn, a 6yr golden retriever from rescue service doggy for me! :-D She loves any and all food (even weird ones like lettuce and ice) but due to allergies I restrict her favorite treats to chicken ones or duck n potato ones (or lettuce and ice lol) she would LOVE to have this jar taunt her! :-D (ok well seh wouldn’t like the taunting part but Mommy would love the jar and she would love the treats inside it).

I was going to say that our pitbull absolutely will do anything for an ice cube, and then I noticed Rachel (comment above me) said the same thing! Must be something about those crunchy, cold treats.

Our little monster loves anything crunchy- carrots, milkbones, and especially the breath freshening treats (what a blessing!) Apparently she also loves chips- she recently found her way ON TO the counter to eat half a bag of tortilla chips!

My favorite treat is the gravy my Mom makes for me. Ever since the contaminated dog food scare a few years back, my parents have made all my food at home for me! Whenever they eat a chicken or turkey, I get some good gravy! And all I do to earn it is cuddle at their feet and patrol the backyard.

my dog loves Pupcorn, its a healthy treat so I love it too, and she doesn’t have to do much, just go outside, she had a very terrible life before she met us and moved into her forever home! Now she is queen of the castle with unlimited treats at her whim!

“GIMME GIMME” Oh a favorite?? If I can eat it, it is usually my favorite… even lettuce!! But, if I have to pick an all time favorite it is the almost empty container of cream cheese!! YUMMM!

“GIMME GIMME” Our boxer, Tullah loves any treat resembling bacon. She raises her paw to “shake hands” before we even ask when those are around!

We finally found some organic peanut butter treats that are little enough to be used as training tools for a 6month old pup. Well, who am I kidding, they work as a great reminder for our 5 year old puppy as well.

Remmy doodle is a fan of peanut butter. We smear some peanut butter in his kong and suddenly he is “sitting pretty,” “waving goodbye,” and doing pretty much anything else to get our attention. In terms of treats that we’d put in a jar he also loves all natural Newman’s dog cookies. We also put those in his kong!
GIMME GIMME! Our foster pups LOVE dried fish skins to munch on. They sound gross, but apparently taste amazing AND are a great source of protein for our pups!

My dog loves cereal, specifically frosted mini wheats. When she hears the cereal hit the bowl, she stops everything and comes running.
