Treats: Are Those For Me?
***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***
What’s wrong with this picture?
Why are all of those yummy-delicious-oh-my-goodness-I-must-have-one-now treats in that container and not in my belly? Maybe I’ll get one once I finish being a good boy and telling you about this dog treat isolation chamber that you can win from Whitewash Sundries (the generously treated me with one- but it’s holding my goodies hostage!).
Just like the stuff my parents are giving away on their blog from Whitewash Sundries, this hand-etched stuff on glass is pretty cool (except for the fact that all my treats are highly visible so they taunt me as I stare at them longingly). Anyway, for this dog-themed giveaway, they put the first initial and silhouette of the dog you intend to tease with this look-but-don’t-touch canister. Cool right? And yes, also a bit cruel. Just be sure to remove a tasty morsel or two and give it to your four-legged friend on the regular.
So, if you (or your parents) want to win one of these amazing treat jars personalized with an initial and a customized dog silhouette, just follow these instructions that my dad helped me write:
- THE TREAT: A monogrammed dog treat jar from Whitewash Sundries.
- TO ENTER: Leave me a comment on this post saying “GIMME GIMME” and tell us…
- BONUS QUESTION: What’s your favorite treat (or your favorite treat to give your pet)? And what sort of things can be done to earn them?
- GIVEAWAY ENDS: Wednesday, January 27th, 2009 at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- ELIGIBILITY: The prize can be shipped all over the world!
- DETAILS SCHMETAILS: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!
I follow the same giveaway policies as my parents, so get more info on their Giveaway FAQs page. Pics courtesy of Whitewash Sundries.

“GIMME GIMME”
Miller, our puggle, loves just about anything. His favorite treat is ice, how nice for us, its free!
GIMME GIMME!
Our dogs love when we are making dinner and “drop” vegetables down for them, especially the tomatoes and carrots.
Tazz says “GIMME GIMME”!
One look at that beautiful jar and tasty treats and he knew he had to have them.
Tazz’s favourite treat is a Bully Stick! We keep them in the basement and he comes running when he hears the door open. He gets one almost every time we go downstairs (about 1-2 times a week) and he has to show it to everyone before he eats it. If we don’t tell him “nice bone”, he gets upset and starts crying.
Our lab Buddy likes home-made peanut butter treats the best. He also likes plain Milkbones and apple slices. Buddy earns treats by doing cute labrador tricks- like fetching and dancing.
GIMME GIMME
My puppies love the flavored Milkbones. They get treats for following commands that are given and for just looking so cute!
Soebe says “Gimme woof gimme!” Her favorite treat is carrots. She likes the baby ones the best. Crunchy!
GIMME GIMME!
I have two Wheaten Terriers and their most favorite thing in the whole world is chewing on those flat, square, unflavored rawhides. We keep a large glass cannister with a stainless lid on the kitchen counter for them. When they hear the word rawhide, or that cannister lid they come running. We don’t even have to give them commands….they just start doing everything they have ever learned all at once. They look like little ADHD dogs….sit, shake, down, rollover, bark!
GIMME GIMME!
maverick the beagle mix loves any thing he isn’t supposed to eat, but the puppy treats he likes the most are ones that look like pieces of bone from the puppy treat counter.
GIMME GIMME
We have three dogs so we go through a lot of treats. We like any that are all natural. We have the small size for two of our dogs and the extra large ones for our big puppy.
GIMME GIMME
Emma gets a treat everytime we leave the house, and of course on holidays and her birthday! :)
GIMME GIMME!
Darla loves chicken tender jerky pieces! Usually we’ll make her at least “Sit” for it, but sometimes we’ll make her do some of her more difficult tricks to show off to friends… like “Paw, other Paw” which she can do back and forth a few times, or “Down”, or even “Stay” which she’s getting much better at.
Gimme, Gimme!
Unfortunately, our Chihuahua has chronic pancreatitis, so all five pups must suffer with low fat treats. Oddly enough, the freeze-dried chicken fillets are low fat. And our favorite!
oohooh Gimme Gimme!! My favorites are Puperoni…they are sooo good! My momma gives them to me after I go outside for my business!!
GIMME, GIMME….our favorite are pig ears, but we usually get breath busters, I guess we have stinky breath?!?!
GIMME….GIMME…..Our Pomeranian, Ginger, loves dried Chicken Breast treats, or anything that contains chicken, looks like chicken, smells like chicken or clucks like chicken.
Gimme Gimme
When my mommy wants me to do something, she says “Murphy, you know what to do!” If I do it, I get treat thingy. Or, when my mommy is being really nice, she gives me a tiny piece of cheese…my favorite! Burger, maybe you can tell me why my mom and dad call me “Steve Urkel”???
gimme gimme
I LOVE treats with peanut butter! And of course the ones that cost $7.00 and sans HFCS are the best for me. Mommy requires some sort of behavior trick to earn one sitting/staying/dancing like a circus dog. Daddy, aka–favorite one of all–merely requires that I pee/poop. Life is good at my house.
Rory (bichon boy)
GIMME GIMME!!!!
My favorite treat? You mean I have to choose just one???? What torture! I love everything! whatever smells good…or not…as long as it enters my tummy. I even love tabasco sauce (super spicy) and even ate spicy macademia nuts which was bad for me.
I’ll do anything! Mummy loves to make me pose with food. Arrgh! She puts it in my face, on my paw, next to my body but makes me just pose. I drool alot in the meantime. I can roll over and play dead for treats too. =D
(p.s. I’m a corgi so food my big thing! =P )
Gimme… Gimme!! Finley, my little Rottie can walk across the living room for some BBQ. He is truly a southern dog and earns his human food!
GIMME! GIMME! We have two German Shorthaired Pointers who love all things they aren’t suppose to have. Their absolute favorite are homemade organic peanut butter treats that we make. I love them too because the recipe makes a huge batch, they are good for them and the ingredients cost less than a small box of regular treats!

Sam the beagle goes crazy over peanut butter in his kong toy. I have been known to toss a few peanut butter filled pretzels his way, as well… :)
