Do I Have To Do Everything Around Here?

Here I am working on the blog. Some may call me a workaholic. Sure I find the time to fit in four to six vigorous three-hour naps each day, but when I’m not sleeping (or eating or chasing bugs for that matter) I’m all business. I need a vacation.

Looking good, Burger! I hear you; mom makes me work non-stop when I’m not busy sleeping, eating chipmunks and hissing at other cats. A dog’s work (or in my case a cat’s work) is never done. You think they appreciate all our hard work?

Don’t stress yourself, Burger. Work is overrated. I like to sleep all day while Mommy & Daddy bring home the bacon. Then it’s time to play. No time for work.

Dear Burger,
I see that your parents are nice enough to feed you good dog food too. My mom always whines about how expensive my food is, but at least I get to eat something other than corn and by-products. Natural Balance’s wet food is really good too. I tend to eat it too fast so my mommy makes me sit in the dining room and feeds me with a spoon. I have special plastic spoons so I don’t crack my teeth on the metal ones. I get a little excited sometimes when tasty food is involved. Love the blog!

Burger, I think we could be friends. I’m Bella the boxer puppy and I also enjoy bug hunting expeditions as much as I enjoy curling up in a ball to sleep in mom’s lap while she’s working from home. I try to help her by “typing” while she is working. Unfortunately she does not appreciate my “help” at all, so back to sleeping with my head in her lap all day. I don’t want her to forget who’s boss around here. ; )

This is so cute John and Sherry (I mean Burger)- you are witty, for sure! What flavor does Burger prefer from Natures Balance? Ries fancies the Sweet Potato and Fish… and also feels the need to eat one kibble bit at a time- why do they do that?!
I’ll eat cat toys (I actually did once, then thankfully threw it up after the rents called the vet and force fed me rice) so pretty much any type of dog food calls my name. As for my favorite Natural Balance flavor, I think I prefer the Original Ultra Premium formula with fresh chicken, brown rice, lamb, oatmeal, duck, fresh potatoes and fresh carrots all in one place: my belly.

Wow Burger, I love your idea for a blog of your own! If I started one it would give my mom something to do with the gazillions of pictures she takes of me. I am also a fan of the Natural Balance Original Premium food, and I am quite possibly the pickiest dog on the planet so that must mean it’s great food. You should definitely try Natural Choice blueberry treats Natural Choice blueberry treats…they are my FAVORITE cookie! (And Mom always says they smell just like fresh-baked blueberry muffins which I guess she likes a lot.)

Really? I can’t be the only one who is thinking this is a little crazy- I mean Burger is ADORABLE but his own blog AND twitter account? My goodness. I will stick to the regular blog:) No hard feelings though, I still like you and your parents.
Well sheesh, you can’t win ‘em all. When the majority of 1000 commenters demanded “more Burger” it was either add a whole buncha me to YHL or branch out. And being the independent strong-willed pooch that I am (have you seen me try to wiggle out of my skeleton sweater?) I couldn’t wait to blaze my own trail. I happen to believe that most people will never visit YHL again once they come over here. Clearly I’m the superior blogger. And it doesn’t hurt that I’m much easier on the eyes…
